PetroBOX® Tank Fueling System
Areo offers the innovative NEW PetroBOX Tank Fueling Systems which are ideal for fleet fueling applications. This completely assembled, ready-to-go unit features integral filling and dispensing systems, normal and emergency vents, fire and weather protection - all in a convenient package.

The PetroBOX Tank Fueling System is designed around a two time-tested and industry proven storage tanks - the Fireguard® and Flameshield®. PetroBOXTM Fueling Systems are available in either cylindrical or rectangular configurations and feature double-wall construction.

Each tank is fabricated with integral filing and dispensing systems. Because they are above ground tanks, they can be easily relocated if necessary.

Dispensing System Features
• Bennett commercial pump and station rain shield
• Dispenser piping system
• Bracketed shear valve
• Electric solenoid valve or ball valve
• Anti-siphon valve
• Expansion relief valve
• Portable fire extinguisher and safety lock case
• Pump mount with secondary containment

Standard Features
• Morrison 818 clock gauge
• 10 Gallon overfill container
• 3" Overfill prevention valve with drop pipe
• High-level sensor
• Leak detection sensor
• Painted Steel Pump Protection Enclosure ( Optional aluminum enclosure shown)

Tank Construction
Both options start out with a primary tank built to UL-142 standards for storing flammable and combustible liquids. Construction utilizes mild carbon steel and lap-welds on all joints.

Fireguard® "Fire-Protected" tanks have a minimum 3" of lightweight insulating material between the tank walls. They are used where a fire-protected tank is needed because of setback limitations and/or regulatory insistence for storage of flammable and combustible liquids. These tanks are Underwriters' Laboratories UL-2085 labeled for Fire Protection, Impact Resistance, Ballistics Resistance and Secondary Containment.

Flameshield® tanks are manufactured to strict STI specifications and are subject to the Steel Tank Institute's Quality Assurance program. Each Flameshield® constructed tank carries the Flameshield® and SwRi 97-04 labels.

Guideline Specification
PetroBOX® Tank Fueling Systemwith Fireguard® or Flameshield® Storage Tank

Provide and install a ______ gallon PetroBOX® (Fireguard® or Flameshield®) Double-wall Steel, Aboveground Storage Tank System. Tank storage volume shall be ______ gallons. Approximate weight shall be ________(lb.).

The PetroBOX® shall be designed for aboveground storage of flammable and combustible liquids at atmospheric pressure. PetroBOX® shall include integral steel secondary containment. The Fireguard® model includes thermal insulation that provides a minimum two-hour fire rating.

Each tank shall be delivered as a complete UL-listed assembly with factory supplied supports. Tank to be set level on a solid foundation.

PetroBOX® shall be designed for possible relocation at a future date. Concrete encased tank designs are not equal and will NOT be permitted.

Tank shall comply with the latest edition of National Fire Protection Association NFPA 30 Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code. The tank’s secondary containment must be tested for tightness in the factory and in the field before commissioning. Tank shall be supplied with emergency vents for the primary and the secondary containment tanks. Emergency venting by “form of construction” is not equal and will NOT be permitted.

Inner and Outer Tank shall be manufactured in accordance with UL-142 Standard for Steel Aboveground Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids. Flameshield® models shall be labeled for Underwriters Laboratories UL 142 and swRI –9704. Fireguard® models shall be labeled for Underwriters Laboratories UL 2085 Standard for Insulated Secondary Containment Aboveground Tank for Flammable and Combustable Liquids. Fireguard® models shall comply with UL 2085 “Protected” Tank standards that include: Ballistics, Impact, Hose Stream, and Pool Fire.

The Fireguard® model shall be manufactured and labeled in strict accordance with Steel Tank Institute (STI) Fireguard® Thermally Insulated, Double-wall Steel Aboveground Storage Tank standards as applied by a licensee of the STI. Both the Fireguard® and the Flameshield® Tank shall be subject to the STI’s Quality Assurance program and shall be backed by the STI 30 year limited warranty.

Construction
Tank shall be fabricated per UL-142 of mild carbon steel with shell seams of continuous lap weld construction.

Tank shall be of double wall construction and provide complete secondary containment of the primary storage tank’s contents by an impervious steel outer wall.

The Fireguard® model includes a minimum of 3” of porous, lightweight monolithic thermal insulation material shall be installed at the factory within the interstitial space between the inner and outer wall.

Thermal insulating material:
• shall be in accordance with American Society of Test ing Materials (ASTM) Standards C-332 and C-495.
• shall allow liquid to migrate through it to the monitor ing point.
• shall not be exposed to weathering and shall be protected by the steel secondary containment outer wall (an exterior concrete wall or vault exposed to the elements will NOT be permitted).

Lifting lugs shall be provided at balancing points to facilitate handling and installation.Exterior Protective Coating:
• Surface Preparation: Grit blast - SSPC-SP-6 Com mercial Blast.
• Finish: finish paint system 5-7 DFT on the shell and heads. The steps shall be painted safety yellow.
